 What are Interpersonal Relationships?

 are defined as good ways of dealing with family members and others in the community. This means being able to form and maintain a friendly relationship as well as ending relationships by building.

 List personal relationship functions:

  • Regulatory function
  • Mentation function

 Functions of each personal relationship:

 Linking function: provides the connection between a person and his environment

 Mentation function: allows for recognition, remembering, and planning

 Regulatory function: used to control our behavior and that of others

Importance of Interpersonal relationships:

  •  It builds trust
  •  Allows self-disclosure Allows a person to make and maintain a relationship
  •  Enables Feedback views and feeds for war
  • it creates good Friendships and good Rapport to people

 Explain everything in an Interpersonal relationship:

 1. Do not criticize, condemn or complain about people

 -Instead of telling someone, there is something wrong, consider asking them

questions to find out why they do what they do

 2. Appreciate people

 -It improves your personal relationship very quickly

- If you want someone to do something or to do something else, try to figure out how you can get what you want

4. Be genuinely interested in others

 -Make more friends by taking an interest in others than by trying to get people to like you.

5. Smile

 -A smile is contagious, it makes others warm inside and warm for you

6. Be a good listener

 -Focus on the person, listen carefully to what you are saying, and encourage others to talk about it

7. Make others feel important

-If someone is important to you in any way, let them know about it. This applies to all types of relationships
